Day 4 of living in England.
J and I have been moving out of his old place most of yesterday after he took his Staff test. We finally moved in our buddy's house, Harris, last night and we're struggling. We can't really unload anything because we're going to be moving out again, hopefully soon.
We're both tired of living off of our suitcases and we're dying to settle down and not having to worry about finding a home or moving again for a while. But yesterday I've learned something.
You have to pick your battles! I've learned that to have a loving and successful marriage, you have to learn which battles to fight for and which ones it's better to keep your mouth shut and let it go. Yesterday, J was packing up our luggage in the car and he was saying how stressed he was about the whole situation. He said, "Babe, we're going to have to move again and it's making me sick just thinking about it."
I immediately wanted to get on to him about how he had plenty of time, before he came back in the States, to find a house for us and I told him we can't afford to be picky with the time we have left and how I knew we were going to be stressed out since we're living in a friend's house and so forth. I wanted to tell him it was his fault and he should have already had a house picked for us. But I didn't because I stopped myself and thought, 'is this really going to help anyone?' This is going to make things worse by not only making my husband feel more crappy than he already does and resented but it's also going to start a rift between us and I don't want to do that. That's not a good start in our marriage! So anyone reading this who is young or starting out in a relationship, or even in a relationship and this sounds familiar, I ask you to stop and think before saying something that could cause damage to you and your loved ones.
Have a wonderful Thursday!

I'm Back!
Hello All! I'm back!
Sorry for the delay. I've been traveling for the past two days and getting adjusted and I finally have a bit of time to talk. Here's a recap of the past few days...
Sunday: Say goodbye to family and friends and leave the country. We had a layover in Dallas for two hours and I definitely had to stop at Pappadeaux. Delicious!
Monday: J and I arrive early in London. We take a bus back to base (taking 2 hours) and start to unload a few essentials.
Today: Went to look at houses (J's current house's lease is up by the end of the month), then the base for a few boxes of mine that I sent to J. After that we moved several things over to a friend's house that we are going to be staying temporarily. He is deployed at the time and told us we can stay at his place while we're looking for a new house.
So! While adjusting to living in a foreign country, we are looking for a new home to live in for the next several months and at the same time trying to save money for the honeymoon we are want to go in July. I highly doubt we are going to have enough money by July but that is ok. We don't need to travel anywhere right now.
I would rather wait when we have enough money for a nice honeymoon than be really tight on money and having an 'ok' honeymoon, even if it means we have to wait a year.
Anybody having to deal with that too? Or worse? Would love to hear stories!

Finally Did It
The wedding planning is finally over with and I can finally relax...wrong! J and I have to run some errands today like turning in the marriage certificate, getting that filed, getting my new military ID, and several other things to finalize before leaving Sunday back to England.
I had a wonderful time seeing family and friends and I felt so blessed that everyone made the effort to come. We all laughed and cried together and the honeymoon suite was just amazing!
I will be posting photos soon! Have a blessed weekend!!!

Wedding Week!
Good Morning Everyone!
It's finally the wedding week and family are slowly trickling into town. I have one set of grandparents that came in Saturday and I'm expecting another set today. J's family is coming in tomorrow. I will not be able to post much this week because of several things I'm going to be busy with like decorating and entertaining family. It's going to be crazy but I'm getting more excited by the day.
Have a lovely week!

Top 5
Today's Top 5 is...Game of Thrones!
If you have not seen the show please please PLEASE try the first season. I was skeptical about it at first and thought, "what's the big deal about this show? It's just dungeons and dragons." But it's not just that; it's so much more.
The characters are complex and entertaining in their own ways. There's something for everyone to enjoy like the scandals and backstabbing drama, there's the bloody and gory fights, there's romance, and the soft porn for the dirty minds.
For today I want to introduce to you my top 5 favorite characters...
#1 Tyrion Lannister!
the Imp, as he is called, is such a clever little snot, who does nothing but drink and sleep with whores, but even though his whole family, except his older brother, despise him Tyrion still cares about them all and does what he can for the Realm.
#2 Daenerys Targaryen

#2 Daenerys Targaryen
I fell in love with dany since the first episode. In the books she's supposed to be like fifteen years old and sold by her brother to, Drogo, a Dothraki leader of a large horde. Her husband was a scary beast of a man but she slowly tamed him and the two actually fell in love. Up to season three now Dany has grown up so much and I admire her fire-like personality.
#3 Jorah Mormont
Jorah is Dany's advisor. They met at her wedding with Drogo. Since then he has been by her side as a loyal companion and I admire that about him as well. His goal is to help Dany take the Iron Throne as Queen of the Realm. There has been little hints throughout the three seasons that Jorah is falling in love with Dany. I'm quite excited to see it progress.
#4 Arya Stark
This girl is just your typical tomboy. She comes from a well-known family with one older sister and four brothers. Instead of learning broidery she would rather practice her swordfighting with her brothers. I just love this girl for being different to all the other girls. She even went up against Tywin Lannister, Tyrion's father, in a battle of wits. (That was one of my favorite moments actually)
#5 Olenna Tyrell (Queen of Thorns)
I wish I had a grandmother like Olenna. This bag of bones and wrinkles is a spit-fire and a ballbuster. She's smarter than she looks. I just adored her when she was introduced in season three.
Who are your favorites?

The first thing I usually do in the mornings is drink my coffee (iced right now) and read my blogs. Cupcakes and Cashmere's post included several of her favorite links of the week and there was a link from the Huffington Post about 9 things Holly Golightly's apartment has taught us and I figured I would share it with the rest of the Audrey Hepburn fans out there. I know you're out there!

One week as of tomorrow until the wedding! It's getting pretty crazy at my parents' house. My mother is a nervous wreck. I even caught my dad the other day tearing up (he's not known to cry) and when asked what was wrong he just simply said, "My girl is leaving. It's starting to hit me that you're leaving." I know, heart-wrenching.
Today, we're running around town, and also out of town, doing more errands...oh joy!
I apologize ahead of time for the boring posts and I will try to make it up to you by posting photos and be more interesting in the near future.
Have an awesome Hump Day!!

Busy Bee
Sorry for not posting earlier! Mom, J and I went out of town to get a few last minute things for the wedding and a nice lunch. We just got back and then I realized I have to go back tomorrow because we forgot a few things. Typical!
I hope you all have a great Tuesday!

All That Is Familiar
Saturday, after graduation, I went out with a few friends, including my best friend, to celebrate. At the end of the night, J and I were driving home and suddenly I'm crying. I start to think of all the people I won't see until God knows until when, all the stuff we used to do and other little things like getting free tea at McAlister's (amazing sweet tea by the way).
The thought of saying goodbye to my best friend and family was suddenly terrifying. I have come to the realization that I am moving away, somewhere across the ocean, to a different country. Granted I'm not alone; I'll be with J but the last time we were together in a long period of time was when we first started dating two years ago. Up til now we have had roughly two weeks with each other. All that is familiar will be gone and I'm going to be uprooted to another 'home'.
This is such a strange new experience for me. It's terrifying but also very exciting. Have you felt something like this? Please comment and have a wonderful Monday!

It's Not The First Time, Nor Yet The Last Time
Yesterday I said goodbye to my sisters. Well, it's not really goodbye because I know I will see them again in the spring for our annual sisterhood meeting. I tried very hard not to cry but seeing some of the younger girls tear up for me broke me down. Thankfully J was with me to drive us home because I was not going to be able to drive in my mental state at the time.
Shirley, our lovely house cook, brought her camera and shot some photos of us. This one is my favorite by far!
Yes, that is J in the front posing as a sorority girl! Presh! Have a lovely weekend!

On The Run
Since I don't have any more finals (Thank God) to deal with, my plans for the next few weeks are focused on wedding. We pretty much have the big stuff like cake and dress and bridal party outfits figured out so now we're working on little things like decorations and all that schpeal. With J with me now we can get lots more done and we don't have to run around like chickens with our heads cut off on the week of the wedding.
Anyone out there that was a bride once? Any suggestions to make transitions easier and more efficient? I would greatly appreciate any tips. Have a lovely Wednesday!

Biggest Surprise Ever
Happy Tuesday everyone!
Sorry for not posting yesterday, between events that have happened this past weekend and finals all day yesterday and moving out of the sorority house I was just BUSY.
I had a wonderful time at the Jason Aldean concert. It was just freaking amazing and Jake Owen pretty much stole the show.
THEN, Saturday was my last formal and I had the biggest surprise I've ever had experienced.
<iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/video/embed?video_id=10200390565024551" width="108" height="192" frameborder="0"></iframe>
The love of my life came home early to attend my formal, which I was date-less at the time. With the help of my best friend and a few sisters he was able to come home safely back to me. I'm still in shock that he's here but I've been thanking God every day for having him come home to me a few days earlier.
When I needed him most, J never fails to pull through. He truly is my superhero.

Top 5
Today I want to share my top 5 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show segments. Some of these segments go way back to even 2005. It was really hard to pick my top 5 because I had a long list of favorites. I absolutely love the VS Fashion Show. They always surprise me with better themes and costumes. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do and have a great weekend!
#5
Highland Romance
http://youtu.be/WU6xGMxq7jA
I picked this one as my number 5 because I always enjoy a good Scottish theme and the patterns were beautiful.
#4
Sexy Toys (skip to :26)
http://youtu.be/IA51GIay07s
The little soldier girls at the beginning was great. The costumes were wonderful and I thought they were very consistent to the theme. Plus this was Tyra Bank's last walk and it thought it was a great finale the way they ended the segment with her.
#3
Ballet (skip to 1:12)
http://youtu.be/CXppl66Np5E
This segment was so beautiful the way it started the show with soft ballet music and then suddenly ROCK N ROLL! Awesome! I still get chills every times I watch this segment. Plus I adore the ending with Miranda Kerr with the crown and that cute little wink.
#2
Aquatic Show
http://youtu.be/ki01LoQ_XRA
Of course Miranda starts this with the 2.5 million dollar bra. She's so adorable! This theme was just fun and flirty. Then you add Maroon 5 and that moment when Adam kisses Anne was just precious!
#1 (a tie)
Circus and Silver Screen Angels (both 2012)
http://youtu.be/EftfNa0JpRY
The 2012 show overall was amazing! I can't wait for next year. But I felt like these two were so incredible and fantastic. I love the way Circus began with the tiger roar and the ringer leader, and it ends with the 'tiger jumping through fire hoops'.
http://youtu.be/w-__oRXnZQ0 (skip to 2:04)
Oh my goodness, this segment reminded me why I love Bruno Mars. This was the first time I heard the song and now I can't stop listening to it all the time. The theme was classic and just gorgeous. Everyone looked beautiful and just AH! I just loved this so much.

Winding Down
Good morning!
As we all know it's Thursday and the week is slowly going by and winding down. Last night I finally finished my take-home exam for my Public Relations class and I am feeling completely burnt up. My online publication instructor announced that we don't have a final next week, which I was thrilled to hear.
So really, I have two exams on Monday, two on Tuesday, and Thursday I just have to turn in my photography book to my professor. I'm not sure if it's too early to say but this has been of the easiest finals week I'm ever going to have. Thankfully, it's also my last.
This weekend I'm going to unwind and enjoy my last weekend as a college student. Tomorrow's plan is to go to the Jason Aldean concert in Las Cruces. (I'm very excited) Saturday is my sorority's formal that we have at the end of every semester. Even though J will not be able to come and I don't have a date I know I'm going to have a blast with my sisters.
That's all for now. Have a blessed Thursday.
Oh, P.S.

Countdown
Today marks the 1st of May which means I have 10 more days until I graduate AND I get to see J. Then that means 22 more days til I am officially Mrs. Campbell! And of course there's 25 more days til J and I go back to England together.
So much is happening this month and I can't contain the emotions I've been feeling lately. I noticed the other night that I'm really leaving my family. Moving to a whole new country across the world is a huge change not only for you but for your families as well. Thank God for Skype though! At the same time, it's not the same. When you're lonely and you're dying to talk to your mother and bake a cake together you can't do it. As much as you may wish that you can have breakfast with your dad and talk about life over coffee, you can't. There's that lack of presence that's necessary, especially when you need comfort.
But, this is the real world. Babies grow up and they leave the nest, sometimes it's very far away where they're going. It's part of life. This is the new chapter in my life that I have to make my own adventures, revelations, and discoveries. Thankfully, I won't be alone. I will have J with me and that makes the whole journey so much better. I can't wait to start it with him.
